The news conference took place on the Space Coast Stadium field. There were at least 40 media members in attendance and the media room inside the stadium was too small to hold the contingent.
Wang will not be ready for Opening Day because he is still recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder, though he is not in any pain and has been throwing from 120 feet on flat ground. The Nationals hope he will be on the mound by mid-March. Wang, 29, is not expected to pitch in the big leagues until sometime in May.

阿民的大聯盟第一個跑壘得分和唯一的一分，帶來的後果是受傷、復健，以及隨之而來洋基愈來愈苛刻的對待。
因為受傷無法上場，腳傷初癒上場換來臀傷與肩傷。薪資仲裁被減薪，老闆還繼續放冷箭說沒做好自我管理。儘管大家都心知肚明邪惡帝國不是幹假的、絕不可能轉性給阿民好臉色，但卻沒料到連世界冠軍賽MVP松井也遭到冷酷對待【松井的薪水有比A-Rod 高嗎？】。
這種情況下，要是還願意呆在洋基，若不是抱著勾踐「臥薪嘗膽」的忍辱負重【阿洋基是有這麼了不起嗎？又不是在演《無間道》！】，就是頭殼壞去、才會拿熱臉貼冷屁股——反正洋基沒在看重亞洲球迷和亞洲市場，我們也是看阿民而不是看洋基比賽，此後就跟洋基說bye-bye，明年不用對著電視機幫它加油了。

Wang remained with the Yankees through this past postseason, using Yankee Stadium's facilities to further his rehab process. While Wang said in October that "hopefully I will be here next year," he was very much aware that the situation may be out of his control.
"I don't know what will happen in the future -- I'm just waiting to see," Wang said during the postseason, when he watched from the bench as the Yankees went on to win the World Series. "I can't worry about it. Right now, I'm just focusing on rehab and getting healthy."

about Chien-Ming Wang：still waiting for 1st win
儘管因一勝難求，投起來顯得有點掙扎，但至少每場先發都有進步，表示阿民的健康狀況的確沒問題了。
我十分不齒洋基高層今年一直採用把胡蘿蔔吊在馬前 + 棍棒在後的「鞭策」方式給阿民施壓，但不幸地，阿民等同在外商公司做事，表現不好時阿兜仔老闆絕對不可能講人情義理的。即便洋基是個球隊，一樣在商言商、 it's all about business，nobody cares sportsmanship！
無論如何，相信阿民本季一定會漸入佳境。雖說今年19勝的可能性很低，但重點要保持健康和信心，自助人助天助，才能夠繼續走大聯盟之路。

Wang progresses, but Yanks can't help
As far as his professional endeavors, Wang still isn't quite sure. The right-hander pitched better than usual in a make-or-break game, and though the end result of his fifth start was the same as his previous four, manager Joe Girardi said he sees a new confidence developing in his former ace.
"Whatever the manager decides," Wang said. "I still lost the game."

With six outs to go Wednesday, Chien-Ming Wang trotted out of the bullpen and pitched as though he belonged in the starting rotation, finally showing the sink and movement that made him a two-time 19-game winner in the big leagues.

about Chien-Ming Wang：game 2 又被打爆
本季第一場阿民就被打慘，昨天第二回出賽，由於正好熬夜，想說可以看阿民轉運。途中我想即使不能勝投，也求有個 quality start，但只見越來越「驚爆」，可憐的阿民再次陷入黑潭泥淖，而且深不見底。最後實在不忍再看，決定早點回房補眠。
MLB ／洋基官網這篇報導的標題我覺得很讚！（plus，要是光芒隊沒改名，維持以前的 Devil-ray的話，這標題會更妙吧～～～ XD）
希望就像捕手Posada說的，投不順是跟阿民心急、想太多有關；而情況也能跟Jeter隊長的場面話一樣，給阿民時間，讓他可以逐漸穩定。

雖然免去薪資仲裁的擾人過程，但說實在，洋基這回給阿民500萬美金年薪真的稱不上夠誠意。
只能說，起碼這次洋基管理部門似乎意識到既然都敢狠心砸大鈔搶到別隊的王牌投手（沙巴西亞有七年長約，平均年薪是阿民的4.6倍！），對於自己的王牌投手也不應該小氣巴拉到又搞薪資仲裁，有失「（邪惡）帝國」顏面。但無論球評專家怎麼說、球迷怎麼呼籲，帝國就是愛搞邪惡，把亞洲選手當成「沉默的勞工」。
不過，不是我愛烏鴉嘴，這幾年看下來，每回洋基拿出沉甸甸大鈔弄來的明星穿上條紋制服後表現總是平平甚至令人搖頭嘆氣。唉，身為阿民的支持者，我們只能寄望他別受傷，明年可以投進季後賽囉！

His 54 career wins rank third among Asian-born pitchers, and helped him become the third-fastest Major League pitcher in the last 50 years to reach 50 career wins. Wang did it in his 85th career start; Dwight Gooden and Ron Guidry both did it in their 82nd career starts.

2008賽季開始迄今，阿民目前以六連勝的佳績成為洋基頭牌先發。不過我總覺得，新官上任的總教練「急拉地」其實有參考老闆的心態把阿民當任勞任怨的亞洲勞工使用──因為阿民每次上場，投球數往往要超越前一場，令人懷疑是不是有新規定阿民先發沒超過一百球就不能換中繼投手？

"I just keep the game close and give my team a chance to win," Wang said.
Since Wang made his last start, on Sunday at Cleveland, no Yankees pitcher had been able to go at least six innings while allowing three runs or fewer. But the game did not progress without a scare: Wang drew attention with one out in the fifth inning for a potential problem on his pitching hand, calling Molina out to the mound.
"I was able to grip the ball, but it wasn't that comfortable for me to release the ball," Wang said.
The Yankees determined that Wang had suffered a cramp in the meat of his pitching hand, which he eased by receiving some light hand treatment. He believed that it was due to the cold weather, and with New York leading, 3-1,
Wang was lifted after completing the sixth inning at 90 pitches.

"I threw the most sliders and changeups I ever have," Wang said. "It felt very good in the bullpen and I wanted to do that because I know Cleveland was waiting for the sinker."
The results were noticeable, as Wang struck out nine, the second-highest total of his career. He whiffed 10 Mets in a game last June 17 at Yankee Stadium.
Wang and Sabathia matched up for the first time since Game 1 of last October's AL division series, a night the Tribe scorched the Yankee ace for eight runs over 4-2/3 innings. Sunday, the Indians struggled to get anyone on base.
"Today was different than the playoffs," Wang said. "Last year, I threw a lot of sinkers and didn't change speed. Today, I changed speed."

"He didn't have his great stuff tonight, and he found a way to keep them in check and keep us in the ballgame and get a win," Girardi said. "He was not as sharp -- very seldom do you ever see Chien-Ming Wang at approximately 50 pitches after two innings. But he found a way, battled, gave us six innings and did a nice job."
Wang scattered three runs on 10 hits, walking two and striking out five over 105 pitches, before turning the ball over to the bullpen for the seventh. Wang said that his slider was spotty, so he was forced to go to his changeup and splitter more, offsetting his hard, heavy sinker.
"I figured out how to finish the game," Wang said. "I changed a lot of speeds today."

阿民春訓第一勝
首先，向各位觀眾報告：謝謝大家關心，在下的皮膚過敏症狀幾乎算是消聲匿跡，計畫一週之後嘗試恢復可以喝個小酒的正常生活。
嗯，雖然鄰居的電鑽攻勢連週末假日都無休，再加上本人因為憂慮噪音而出現失眠狀況【每天早上我都盼望有「德州殺人電鋸」幫忙處理掉這些製造噪音的傢伙…】，理論上應該設法早早睡覺，但實在很難拒絕看阿民出場的 live 轉播，所以還是小小熬夜一下。
可愛的阿民先發投了兩局，雖然是春訓熱身賽，但仍然投得很認真，有三振演出也有精彩的守備表現。呵呵，老話一句：有阿民～真好！

但人生總有起起落落，更何況是球場？要經過大風大浪，才能有所成長，重點是保持健康，繼續挑戰更好的成績。

唉，很久沒寫阿民的記錄，但還是有默默支持這位台灣之光的。
儘管不是很順利，但整個例行賽結束，阿民今年還是拿到19勝，雖然不是全聯盟勝投王，但勝場數排名在美聯好歹也是銀牌級的，仍然要為他鼓掌！
目前正在緊鑼密鼓進行的季後賽，看來儼然是教練展現調兵遣將功力的競技場，先發投手和打序總是虛虛實實，隨時都有可能變動，十分有趣。第一戰在客場被打爆退場、最後是敗投投手的阿民，在洋基連輸兩場，最後決戰關鍵總算扳回一城後，被教練改派為第四場先發（原本應該是穆西納才對），希望阿民回到主場出賽能夠勝投，洋基繼續贏下去，才能夠拿世界冠軍戒指的說……

We understand if we win [Monday], we have to go back over to Cleveland. And we don't have a good memory of what happened over there. So we have to make sure that we don't get too far ahead of ourselves."
The penultimate game of the series will pit Chien-Ming Wang, the Yanks' ravaged Game 1 starter on three days' rest, against Paul Byrd, Cleveland's No. 4 starter, but a 15-game regular-season winner.

about Chien-Ming Wang︰lamentable 7th lose
阿民一步一腳印，終於來到拿19勝的機會，可惜天不從人願，昨天洋基 vs. 紅襪 大逆轉反敗為勝 已經用盡好運，今天上帝不在，而是衰星輪值，於是第五局阿民突然投得跌跌撞撞，第六局投得超掙扎，最後被打爆悻悻然退場。連優質先發也沒能守住，只能黯然吞敗。
另一方面，同樣競爭19勝與賽揚獎的紅襪投手 J. Beckett 賽前就嗆聲宣稱19勝絕對是他的，而結果也真是如此，彷彿證明米國文化「敢講就會贏，謙虛是遜腳」的特色。看來在大聯盟職業世界中，沉默的王牌要變成「大聲的王牌」才比較行得通？
對了，每次看紅襪隊比賽，總覺得 Coco Crisp 擺出打擊姿勢時，長得很像 Keroro軍曹裡面的毒蛇星人 ヴァイパー（勉強找到一張參考圖片、請按 這裡 收看）。Julio Lugo 打擊時表情看起來則是台語說的「面憂憂」，好像很慘的樣子，其實精明得很 ── 也挺像毒蛇一族的說。

阿民控球確實沒有13勝那場好，不過我覺得主審也是個機車伯，有蠻多好球帶邊緣的球都被判壞球，於是為了取得好球，就投成紅中球，打者咻地一揮就來個要命的二壘安打……加上洋基守備漏洞異常多，真是看越久越爆肝！
儘管阿民賽後秉持「都是我不好」的極低姿態，我卻覺得，這場比賽正好證明阿民果然奉克萊門斯為偶像。因為阿民13勝的前一天，洋基先發就是克萊門斯，那場 他對白襪在第二局就被打爆掉了8分的說，而昨天阿民也是投了 2+2/3局被打爆掉 8分。

about Chien-Ming Wang：11~13th wins
阿民的11、12勝固然令人高興，但更可喜的是他在13勝的表現。這場他再度對上皇家隊，無論球速或控球都比上一回合好太多，甚至可說頗接近五月那場差點變成完全比賽的水準！

可喜的第10勝不但讓阿民本季勝場推進到二位數，也使球迷更加期待八連勝、也是第11勝的出現。

about Chien-Ming Wang：8th & 9th win
阿民本季第九勝正好是洋基上半季最後一場比賽。雖然第一局投得讓觀眾簡直心跳快停了，不過還是三上三下帶一個三振。接下來在隊友炮火全開、全力相挺下，阿民儘管手指痛痛，仍然演出好投。
對天使隊這場最令我們開心的，除了看到松井秀喜、R. Cano、A-Rod 三支三分全壘打，還有洋基中繼投手也很有義氣地沒掉分，讓阿民不但勝投，更合作演出12-0 的大獲全勝，比第八勝的 8-0 （vs. 雙子隊）更讚啦！
相信洋基上下都笑得合不攏嘴，明星賽這幾天都能輕鬆休假。但台灣球迷更盼望阿民手指能痊癒的說。
這天看完阿民後，還有換台看小聯盟的未來之星比賽。不過中途在下有轉台看別的頻道，而且意外發現我很喜歡的那部浦澤直樹的《怪物》動畫又重播了……所以沒認真看棒球。
不過，根據報導，目前屬於道奇的胡金龍在這場比賽中不僅打擊出色，還有精采盜壘得分演出！希望他能保持健康，早點上大聯盟～～

For at least one night, the most inconsistent parts of the Yankees offense all worked in harmony. Bobby Abreu, Robinson Cano and Hideki Matsui shouldered much of the load to help Chien-Ming Wang down the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, 8-0.
While Wang wasn't at his most efficient, he was able to navigate past damage, walking four and striking out three in a 101-pitch performance to log his team-leading eighth victory.
He most notably sidestepped a tight situation in the fourth inning, guarding a 1-0 lead in what catcher Jorge Posada would later credit as a turning point.

about Chien-Ming Wang：hard to control pitches
前些時日因為 case 纏身，就算看了球賽也懶得記下什麼。眼看著阿民又要出賽，只好偷懶地把前兩場比賽的報導連結放上來，聊表心意。

昨天依舊爬不太起來，沒有從第一局開始看。不過，從第三局一直看到結束，阿民整場都投得頗順暢，甚至可說是「行雲流水」，球速讚，進壘角度更是漂亮，加上隊友的安打+全壘打得分，看得真過癮哪（重播再看還是覺得看得很舒服）！大都會隊才被郭泓志轟全壘打+搶下勝投沒多久，這回又被阿民盯死，應該會對台灣棒球選手印象深刻吧。
前幾個月住在NJ 的姑姑、姑丈回台灣的時候，我到阿嬤家探望他們。聊天時提起隔天有阿民登板，要早起看球賽，姑丈馬上問我時間還說他也要看比賽，跟著解釋他們本來都是支持「庶民派」的大都會隊──「可是，自從王建民到洋基投球，就變成洋基球迷了！」XD
阿民此役前六局零失分，已經是優質先發，總共投8+2/3局，分別在第七、第八局各掉一分，ERA又下降了（^^），而且演出個人新紀錄的 10K，連隊友 A-Rod 也嚇到了。不過這場 A-Rod 慣例揮個全壘打，而且本季打點已經有73分，也是超強的說。

When he was not throwing his sinker, he was firing 95-mile-an-hour fastballs — on his way to a career-high 10 strikeouts — and leaving the Mets wondering exactly where that came from.
“He was really throwing hard,” said Carlos Beltrán, who went 1 for 4 and drove in the Mets’ final run on a single in the ninth. “I didn’t know he was capable of throwing 95, 96, 97.”
[ He did so while pitching with a stiff neck after sleeping funny on his right side Saturday. He received ultrasound therapy and heat packs before the game but said he did not expect to miss a start. ]

about Chien-Ming Wang：勝投王 + 勝投郭與全壘打
昨天熬夜打算寫稿，但不想開工的潛意識變成有意識地上網打混，直到天明。
不過，今天是重要的棒球日，因為要看阿民還要接著看郭泓志，所以設定鬧鐘爬起來開電視。好險，紐約主場下雨延遲開賽讓我在迷糊中多睡了一小時，然後努力撐著看阿民投第一局，度過驚濤駭浪後，Abreu 的三分全壘打支持阿民「照例」投出優質先發。不過第七局又遇上大凶，靠著隊長 Jeter 的漂亮接殺才安全過關－－投完七局只掉一分；終場洋基以 4:1 獲勝。

Wang pitched the way he's been pitching since May 16, against the White Sox, and has held opposing teams to three runs or fewer in his past six starts. He used his secondary pitch -- the slider -- for seven innings against the D-backs to overcome the six hits he allowed.
Jeter had a clear view of Wang on the mound -- every set, every windup, every delivery.
"He's getting better, but it's tough to say he's getting better because he's pretty much been good since he first got here," Jeter said.
阿民下場前，郭泓志在道奇主場的比賽也開始了，電視 live 轉播為了不顧此失彼，變成子母畫面，看得我更是眼睛酸痛，不時閉眼休息，結果是把電視當收音機，邊睡邊模糊聽著主播在說啥，終於進入「休眠模式」。可是，有一瞬間音量暴增讓我醒了幾秒，睜眼一看，主投的郭泓志上場打擊時，居然敲出一隻陽春全壘打（而且郭最後跟阿民一樣，4:1拿到勝投+優質先發）！
哈，這下怎不讓人開心好睡呢！有兩個勝投，還有台灣選手首次在大聯盟擊出全壘打，真是作夢也會笑阿～～ ^_^

If pitching the Dodgers to a 4-1 win over the slumping Mets with seven strong innings Tuesday night wasn't milestone enough to celebrate for the star-crossed left-hander, you should have seen Kuo's bat flip while admiring his first Major League home run -- and first homer by any Taiwanese-born player.
"I didn't mean to do that," Kuo said apologetically about the hot-dogging. "I hit it, I know I hit it hard."

不過，今天是重要的棒球日，因為要看阿民還要接著看郭泓志，所以設定鬧鐘爬起來開電視。好險，紐約主場下雨延遲開賽讓我在迷糊中多睡了一小時，然後努力撐著看阿民投第一局，度過驚濤駭浪後，Abreu 的三分全壘打支持阿民「照例」投出優質先發。不過第七局又遇上大凶，靠著隊長 Jeter 的漂亮接殺才安全過關－－投完七局只掉一分；終場洋基以 4:1 獲勝。

Wang pitched the way he's been pitching since May 16, against the White Sox, and has held opposing teams to three runs or fewer in his past six starts. He used his secondary pitch -- the slider -- for seven innings against the D-backs to overcome the six hits he allowed.
Jeter had a clear view of Wang on the mound -- every set, every windup, every delivery.
"He's getting better, but it's tough to say he's getting better because he's pretty much been good since he first got here," Jeter said.

about Chien-Ming Wang：WP, 1st complete game this season
上禮拜每天烈日灼身，週日下午開始下起雨來，且鋒面徘徊，雨下個不停。連續陰雨天讓氣溫略降，用不著開冷氣，晚上比較好睡。
於是……今早睡太晚，沒看到前兩局。從三局上洋基連續得分開始看起，想著接下來阿民一定能穩定好投。【真巧，洋基官網文章的副標就是：Four-run third eases right-hander's complete-game effort 】
果不其然，三局下阿民回到投手丘，表現超讚，而且投得越來越精簡，最後竟然投了整整九局，只丟一分。不但拿下優質先發+勝投，還是完投勝！唉，忍不住想起上回那場七局多的完全比賽，實在是扼腕阿～～咦，洋基官網文章撰稿記者居然也以此開場，害總教頭 Torre 也跟我一樣扼腕。

Wang (5-4) walked one, struck out four and gave up no extra-base hits, throwing 104 pitches, fewer than he did in his previous start, when he beat Boston despite lasting just five and two-thirds innings.
It was the first complete-game victory for the Yankees in 119 games, since Wang tossed a shutout against Tampa Bay last July 28. The Yankees scored in only two innings, but with Wang in control, the outcome never seemed to be in doubt.

about Chien-Ming Wang：WP, really quiet
今年有本算是阿民的傳記書，書名叫做《沉默的王牌》。姑且不說現在阿民在洋基的地位算不算「王牌」，但他的確夠沉默、夠安靜。
或許該說是這次的洋基vs.紅襪世仇對戰實在太精彩，邪惡帝國第一名和邪惡帝國第二名（是滴，自從紅襪花大把銀子搶來松坂之後，它也成為邪惡帝國的一員…）這次的勝負，是終場洋基以 9:5 勝過紅襪。整場球賽除了打擊精彩，更高潮迭起、充滿戲劇張力──有全壘打、觸身球、盜壘、裁判不公、教練抗議被驅逐出場，甚至雙方球員衝上場快要打起來──就算是熬夜沒睡看球賽的觀眾，也不會看球看到無聊睡著。
因此，阿民的勝投更顯得安靜，除了投出一記觸身球，賽後報導幾乎沒被提起。這場比賽前面幾局他都投得很緊張，造成用球數太多，幸好洋基的「鑽石打線」總算從蒙塵中擦亮，讓阿民能夠穩下來恢復正常，把失分控制在3分。可惜的是沒投滿六局就下場（但總投球數已經到112），少了一次「優質先發」的記錄。

Having showcased a varied repertoire to best the Red Sox in his last effort against them, starter Chien-Ming Wang continued to tread carefully against Boston's lineup -- at least, until the bats blasted open the doors.
With a 13 1/2-game deficit entering play Friday, there is a certain immediacy to every action taken by a player in pinstripes -- just ask Alex Rodriguez -- whether construed as desperation or aggressiveness. Friday brought more of the latter than the former, with even a meager two-game winning streak appearing as a tantalizing prize at Wang's workload.
"He's pitched some big games for us," Torre said. "Tonight was a huge game. We really haven't been able to string anything together."
The right-hander threw 75 pitches through the first three innings, touched for runs by David Ortiz's single and Julio Lugo's groundout in the second inning, plus Dustin Pedroia's double to left in the third.
Torre said that the effort wasn't exactly vintage Wang, but it evolved over the course of the night.
"He never uses that many pitches early in the game," Torre said. "Once we got the lead for him, he was somebody else."
Given the large advantage, Wang settled and worked into the sixth before handing duties off to reliever Mike Myers, who struck out Ortiz, the only batter he faced. Wang scattered 10 hits and walked two, striking out one in a 112-pitch outing.

標題會這麼寫，就表示輸球、敗投，沒啥好說的。
阿民第一局就掉三分，不過，第二局抱著重新開始的決心，接下來越投越穩，沒讓對手再得分。不管怎麼說，投八局掉三分至少也有「優質先發」的樣子－－所以才說「雖敗猶榮」。偏偏洋基號稱「鑽石打線」的陣容，這個球季簡直就是「陽春打線」－－打擊內容貧瘠到一整個不忍卒賭的境界阿～～～
洋基再這樣貧打 + 輸下去，投手再怎麼強也沒用吧，如果繼續一蹶不振、士氣低迷，連季後賽都沒辦法，更別想什麼世界大賽！
但我們阿民硬是把敗戰責任一肩挑起：“If I don’t give up three runs in the first inning, the team has a chance to win.”
